Inspiring Environments for Young Explorers

Nature Nest Preschool LLC is currently in the process of obtaining our license with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. While we prepare for full preschool programming, we are excited to offer a variety of movement, sensory, and social–emotional classes for children ages 2 and up, available Monday through Friday. These classes provide little ones with opportunities to explore, play, and grow in a nurturing environment—building strong bodies, curious minds, and meaningful connections along the way.

Sensory Sprouts

From squishing mud and pouring water to exploring natural textures, colors, and sounds, Sensory Sprouts encourages curiosity while supporting early brain development. Each class also weaves in opportunities for building early social skills—like sharing space, taking turns, and beginning to play alongside peers.

Benefits for your child:

  • Builds fine and gross motor skills through hands-on activities

  • Encourages self-regulation and attention through sensory play

  • Supports early social–emotional development in a safe, nurturing environment

  • Provides confidence for little ones taking their first steps into group learning

Trunks and Roots

Trunks & Roots is a nature-inspired program designed to help children grow strong bodies and grounded connections. Just like trees, children need both sturdy trunks (core strength, balance, and coordination) and deep roots (social skills, self-regulation, and confidence) to thrive. Through playful movement, obstacle courses, sensory exploration, and cooperative games, we will build the motor foundations that support everyday activities while also practicing the social–emotional skills needed to form friendships and feel connected.

Benefits for your child:

  • Builds Core Strength & Balance: Foundational skills that support coordination, posture, and confidence in movement.

  • Improves Motor Planning & Coordination: Through obstacle courses, animal walks, and whole-body play.

  • Encourages Social Growth: Practice sharing, turn-taking, teamwork, and communication in fun group activities.

  • Supports Emotional Regulation: Breathing, stretching, and calming strategies woven into each session.

  • Boosts Confidence & Independence: Children learn to take risks, try new challenges, and celebrate successes.

  • Promotes Creativity & Imagination: Nature-inspired themes keep activities fresh, engaging, and playful.

  • Inclusive for All Learners: Activities are adaptable for different ages and abilities, allowing every child to participate at their own level.
