We are thrilled to have Dr. Stacy Wilcox as our Consulting Occupational Therapist at Nature Nest. With over 15 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, Stacy brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and creativity to our nature-based learning environment.
Stacy is the founder of Mindful Motion Therapy, a holistic pediatric OT clinic located in Avon, CT, where she specializes in sensory processing, primitive reflex integration, visual development, and emotional regulation. Her approach blends evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each child’s unique rhythm and strengths.
At Nature Nest, Stacy collaborates closely with our educators to support developmentally appropriate practices, provide staff training, and ensure our environment is inclusive and therapeutic for all learners. She offers consultation on sensory integration, motor development, executive functioning, and the role of movement and nature in early learning.
Stacy’s guidance helps us maintain a play-rich, sensory-friendly space where children of all abilities can thrive. Her commitment to supporting children "from the roots up" aligns beautifully with our mission.
